Australian champagne and cognac diamonds are predominantly mined in Western Australia. They come from the world's most prestigious diamond producing mine. Home of the famous "pinks". These diamonds are unique and they are harder than all other diamonds. Their hardness factor results from the unusual atomic structure. Their atoms are bonded together in a more complex arrangement than other diamonds. This structure is one of the major reasons for the deep colours.
