Flawless Cut Diamond Collection
In the 1980s Japanese cutters were the first to produce diamonds that were cut to exact facets, creating kaleidoscopic patterns when seen through reflecting viewers.
The techniques spread to other cutting houses. Flawless Cut Hearts & Arrows diamonds reached the US in the mid 1990s.
Flawless Cut Diamonds which display a Hearts and Arrows pattern are considered the benchmark in diamond artisanship due to the increased performance that this technique will deliver from the raw material. A Flawless Cut hearts and arrows stone will reflect up to 98% of the light that enters the stone, leading to the term 'High Performance' being often attributed to these products.
Flawless Cut Hearts & Arrows diamonds are being used as a benchmark for "Best Cut" (among Round Brilliant diamonds) for their uniqueness and quality as the ultimate in cutting precision. They are sometimes called "Flawless Cut."
The Flawless Cut Hearts & Arrows pattern of the diamond is clearly visible under the Hearts & Arrows viewer or scope. This Hearts & Arrows viewer was invented by Mr. I. Yamashita.
When buying Flawless Cut diamonds we consider the 5 C's:

When talking about Flawless Cut we talk about the first 'C'- Cut…
What is "Flawless Cut" diamond jewellery?
Flawless Cut is the excellent/perfect cut with the angles cut to perfection. You can demonstrate this by using a Flawless Cut Hearts and Arrows Viewer, which is available in every store:
The Bottom View shows 8 precise symmetrical hearts when viewed on an unset Flawless Cut Diamond.
The top view shows 8 precise symmetrical arrows. This can be seen on all Flawless Cut Diamonds set in jewellery.
This is proof of the Flawless Cut, these patterns cannot be seen in other diamonds which have not been cut to precision.
Cut is the most important aspect of a diamond's beauty. It is the only factor controlled by man, but for many years it has been the least discussed.
Cut refers to more than just a diamond's shape. It refers to the depth, table, polish and symmetry. A diamond's proportions determine how well a diamond will sparkle and reflect light. The measurements and angles are critical to maximize the dispersion of light. There are 11 different proportions and cut details for a brilliant round diamond.
If a diamond is cut too deep or too shallow, the light will not refract back out of the top of the diamond. This is illustrated in the 2 pictures below. In many cases diamonds are cut to minimize the inclusions. This is then at the expense of the cut.
Why is cut so important?
The cut of the diamond decides the visual attractiveness of the diamond with these 3 factors:
