What Is My Ring Size?

Looking to purchase a stunning new ring but keep wondering ‘what is my ring size?’ - well, that’s why we offer a ring size guide that can help you get the right fit.

At Shiels, we’re always striving to provide you with the best quality jewellery. Part of this is providing you with rings that fit comfortably, don’t leave any marks on your fingers and aren’t in danger of slipping off!

What Is My Ring Size: How To Find Out

There are two main ways that we recommend you determine your ring size. Please refer to the options below. You will find the available sizes for a particular ring listed on its product page.

Get Measured In Store

If you want to know what your ring size is, you can get measured in any Shiels store location. Our friendly staff will be happy to help with any ring query you may have.

For the most accurate measurement, please ensure that you get measured earlier in the day before any swelling or irritation of the fingers can occur.

One of our expert jewellers will make sure that you get measured using a ring sizer that’s of similar width to the ring you’re interested in. For example, if you are looking for a 6mm wide ring, you can’t get measured using a 3mm wide sizer because when you buy the ring it may feel a bit tight.

Order A Multisizer

Asking yourself, ‘what is my ring size?’ but can’t get to a Shiels store? No problem. Another great option is to order the world-famous Ring Multisizer Sizing Gauge from our online store.

It’s very easy to use and works like a mini-belt:

  • Simply push the end through the buckle to form a ring shape.
  • Slip the Multisizer onto your finger. Adjust to give a comfortable fit. Check that it just slips back over the knuckle.
  • When the best fit is achieved simply read off the size indicated by the arrow and cross-check it on our chart.

Ring Size At Home

Match an existing ring to one of the sizes on our ring size chart.

Of course, sometimes measuring your finger size isn’t enough, and even the measured ring doesn’t fit as expected.

Should you end up with an incorrect size, Shiels has fantastic care plans that you can take advantage of, which include getting your ring resized after your initial purchase if necessary.
