How does Afterpay work?

By choosing Afterpay for your jewellery purchase, you can shop as normal but pay over four equal instalments every two weeks.

When completing your purchase on Shiels’ checkout page, choose Afterpay as your payment option instead of card or PayPal. Please note you must be 18 years or older to create an account. If you have not used Afterpay before, you will need to create an account providing your phone, address and bank details. If you already have an account, you will be asked to log in. Using Afterpay isn’t at all complicated.

Why use Afterpay?

Afterpay is a great payment method as there is generally no immediate payment. For first time user, you will be asked to pay one of the four payments immediately. After that, you can make the payment once every two weeks. This advantage makes Afterpay a favourite in many Australian online stores.

Please note, in some instances, you may be required to make your first payment at the time of purchase. If this is the case, Afterpay will clearly advise you of this prior to order confirmation.

How long does it take to pay for a ring using Afterpay?

When you choose to pay for a ring with Afterpay, the price of the ring is divided into four equal instalments (including any delivery fees). So every time you pay off your ring, you are only paying 25% of the overall price.

Once you have created an account with Afterpay, your instalments are deducted from your selected bank account or credit card on a particular day every fortnight (over 8 weeks in total). Don’t worry, there’s no need to remember to pay these! Afterpay automatically creates a payment schedule for you - so there’s less stress. Another advantage of using Afterpay is that you pay nothing extra when you pay on time! If you make your ring payments on time, you’ll only ever have to pay the price of the item you purchased.
