Please read these terms and conditions (the 'Terms and Conditions') carefully. By using this site, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of, and any purchase from, the Shiels' site, and constitute an agreement between you and Shiels. Shiels reserves the right to change or modify any of these Terms and Conditions or any policy or guideline of the Site at any time, and in its sole discretion. Any change or modification will be effective immediately upon posting of the revisions on the Site. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of its changes or modifications will constitute your acceptance of such changes or modifications.

The ticketed price does not imply that the item has been sold at this price; it is Shiels regular ticketed price for the item when it is not on sale prior to any negotiated discounts. Few or no sales may have occurred at the ticketed price prior to promotion. All sale prices apply while stocks last or until current campaign finishes and is not valid with any other offer. Some items may be temporarily unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control. Not all stock is available at all stores. Prices correct at time of publishing in catalogue and online, we reserve the right to change prices without prior knowledge notice due to exchange rate fluctuations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. RRP (Recommended Retail Price) is a price suggested by the manufacturer of the product. Standard ring sizes are available in sizes M and Q. Any other size will be resized from these at an additional cost unless stated otherwise.
We do not negotiate prices on our products and all our prices are final. We make every attempt to ensure that our online catalogue is as accurate and complete as possible. In the rare or unlikely event of a pricing error in the price displayed online, the company can cancel orders and refund customers' payment, using the same method as original payment because of the pricing errors (or for any reason). In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs colour and size often vary slightly. Shiels states that carat total weight in all purchases may vary 0.05 carats from stated weight. We use the most accurate scales available for gemstone and pearl measurements, a tolerance of 0.25mm is allowed. For diamond jewellery set with multiple diamonds, we provide the minimum total carat weight for the piece. Colour and clarity grades are expressed as either a minimum or an average depending on the number of diamonds. If stated as a minimum, all diamonds within the piece are at or above the stated quality. If expressed as an average, collectively the quality is equal to or exceeds the grade stated in most cases.
All pendants are shown on display chains which are not included in the price unless stated.
Our online offers can differ from those in-store both in terms of the products being different as well as pricing on the same products being different on occasion. We will offer some items for sale solely online and alternatively some items will only be offered in store.
These Terms and Conditions and your use of this site will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Australia, applicable to agreements made and to be entirely performed within the State of South Australia. You agree that Shiels may modify these Terms and Conditions and any other policies on our Site at any time and that posting the modified Terms and Conditions or policies on our Site will constitute sufficient notice of such modification.

The Shiels Jewellers mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by Shiels Jewellers (“Shiels Jewellers”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.
By consenting to Shiels Jewellers’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Shiels Jewellers through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialling system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).
You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with Shiels Jewellers. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.
We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.
You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to Shiels or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other Shiels Jewellers mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

Warranty Statement - 12 Month Guarantee
All jewellery comes with an exclusive 12-month guarantee on quality and workmanship. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality or workmanship of any item we will refund, exchange or repair your purchase at our discretion. Damage resulting from the unfair treatment of jewellery is not covered by this guarantee. Products altered, tempered or repaired by a third party other than Shiels voids this warranty.
Watch Warranty Statement
Shiels Jewellers is an Authorised Retailer for all the brands and products we sell. All our products are sourced directly from the Licensed Manufacturer or Authorised Distributor. All products sold by Shiels are guaranteed to be genuine, brand new, in original condition and delivered with original packaging, warranty cards and instruction manuals where applicable. In the unlikely event that you experience a problem with your watch after receiving it from us, Shiels will assist in claiming the warranty to resolve the issue.
Gift Cards
Treat this Gift Card as cash. Damaged, lost or stolen Gift Cards will not be replaced or refunded (not applicable to digital gift cards). Not to be used for the payment of credit or store accounts. Not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged. To be used for the purchase of goods and services at Shiels stores around Australia and online at www.shiels.com.au. Please note this card will take 24 hours to be fully activated. This card will expire 36 months from the date of issue. Following expiry any unused amount will not be refunded. Purchases exceeding the card balance require the difference to be paid by an alternative payment method at the discretion of the participating store. Gift cards are not reloadable.
Online Purchases Return Policy
You may return any piece of jewellery or watch that has not been worn, scratched, damaged, made to order or altered in anyway (including resizing) within 30 days from delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.). You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days). Please note that our 30 day returns policy applies only to online purchases. We do not cover the loss of an item. If you believe you have received a faulty item please contact us immediately to rectify the situation before a loss occurs.
30 Day Returns Policy on Smart Watches / Electronics
Items returned for change of mind must be returned in the same condition in which you received the item. Original shipping fees for change of mind returns are not refunded.
Items must be received within 30 days of receipt of delivery for a replacement or full refund of the price you paid for the item provided you comply with the conditions below .
Conditions applying to Change of Mind Returns
- All items must not be damaged, missing parts or in unsellable condition because of customer negligence, misuse, or tampering.
- All items must not have been resized, damaged, connected or locked to a mobile phone/devise or otherwise altered after delivery.
- All packaging and documentation (e.g., boxes, manuals, warranty cards, chargers, certificates of authenticity etc.) must be included with the item being returned for change of mind.
It is not required to accept change of mind returns on items outside the specified return window or items that do not comply with the Change of Mind Returns policy.
This Change of Mind Return Policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law you may have in respect of faulty items.
STORE PURCHASE EXCHANGE POLICY
At Shiels Jewellers, we want you to feel confident in your purchase. Our in-store 30-Day Exchange Guarantee allows you to exchange eligible items within 30 days of purchase, subject to the conditions outlined below.
Eligibility for Exchange
You may request an exchange within 30 days of the purchase date, provided that:
- Proof of purchase is presented; and
- The item is in As New Condition; and
- All original packaging and accompanying documentation are returned (e.g. diamond certificates, watch instruction booklets, authenticity cards).
Definition of “As New Condition”
“As New Condition” means the item must be:
- Unworn,
- In flawless condition, and
- Free from scratches, marks, damage, or any signs of wear.
Shiels Jewellers reserves the right to determine whether an item meets the “As New Condition” criteria.
Exclusions
The 30-Day Exchange Guarantee does not cover:
- Accidental damage, misuse, deliberate damage, or excessive wear and tear.
Items Not Eligible for Exchange
The following items cannot be exchanged under any circumstances (unless deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law):
- Earrings or body jewellery, for hygiene reasons (e.g. earrings, nose studs, belly bars, toe rings)
- Rings that have been resized (before or after purchase)
- Engraved, personalised, custom-made, or made-to-order items
- Watches or smartwatches that have been:
- Resized
- Damaged
- Connected or locked to a device
- Altered in any way after purchase
(unless assessed and approved as faulty within warranty terms)

Shipping
We currently ship orders exclusively within Australia and New Zealand. Please note that some products may be subject to restrictions and cannot be shipped to certain locations within these regions. When you place an order, we will provide an estimated shipping and delivery timeframe based on the availability of your items and the shipping method you select.
If Australia post is not successful in locating your parcel to complete delivery or are unable to return back to sender, no compensation is payable for loss or damage by Shiels Jewellers.
While we take missing/lost parcels seriously, Shiels are not held liable for parcels that do not arrive to their final destination. If you claim that an order was not received but there is a signature obtained, we will open an investigation with Australia post, please note that orders not received are a case by case scenario and will need to be thoroughly investigated.

Orders Placed Outside Australia
With regard to orders placed from outside Australia there might be destination taxes. These taxes are the responsibility of the buyer of the product. When you purchase a product from Shiels you only pay for the product (less Taxes in Australia) and shipping charges from Australia. There may be additional charges once your order has left Australia.
