Every diamond, gemstone and precious metal in our collection has a story before it becomes part of the jewellery you wear. From Italy to Hong Kong, our global network of leading suppliers includes members of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) who meet the highest ethical and safety standards.
Transparency is important to us, and you can feel good knowing your jewellery not only looks beautiful but is mindfully made throughout the diamond, gold and platinum supply chain - ensuring human rights, social responsibility and environmental care.
Our dedicated and experienced buying team regularly travels overseas to work closely with our trusted suppliers, allowing us to pass on the exceptional value Shiels is known for.
REDUCING OUR FOOTPRINT
Making a positive impact on the world is central to everything we do.
Our support office is powered by solar panels; helping us use cleaner energy, and we actively support the Adelaide City Council’s cardboard recycling scheme.
Our adopt-and-reuse approach ensures our store interiors make the most of existing resources, while we prioritise sustainable materials such as biodegradable carpet tiles and low-energy lighting to further reduce our carbon footprint.
We are also proud to partner with major shopping centres that are leading sustainability efforts in areas such as green power, waste reduction and water reuse across their retail environments. This means the spaces where we trade are designed to operate efficiently - so you can shop with confidence knowing your visit supports our shared commitment to responsible retail and the communities around us.
PACKAGING
Our jewellery is made to be loved for years to come, and we want our packaging to reflect that same care. We use biodegradable bags to help reduce waste, and we’re continuing to explore new materials and designs that balance environmental responsibility with quality.
