3. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton
Over her impressive 50+ year career, Elizabeth Taylor took on some of the most iconic film roles in movie history. But her incredible diamond jewellery collection is perhaps what she is most known for in today's age.
While Elizabeth did get married over eight times, her most memorable engagement ring is perhaps her biggest. Referred to as the Krupp Diamond (until after her death in 2011 when it became known as 'The Elizabeth Taylor Engagement Ring'), this large Ascher-cut diamond weighs a huge 33.19-carats according to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Talk about a rock!
The ring was given to her by Welsh actor Richard Burton when he proposed a second time in 1968. The pair were previously engaged in 1964 but would later separate before rekindling their relationship again in 1968. Sadly, Liz and Dick's love story wasn't to be and the marriage would come to its demise for good in 1974 when the two split for good. However, the ring continues to live on even after the Hollywood star's passing and was sold at auction for an eye-watering $168,000,000.

4. Elizabeth Taylor and Mike Todd
When we’re talking about which celebrity has the biggest engagement ring, we think it’s only fair Elizabeth gets a second mention. In 1957, when Taylor was at the height of her fame, she became engaged to film producer, Mike Todd. The engagement and marriage was Elizabeth third and it is safe to say the engagement she received from Todd really upped the ante. Boasting a large emerald-cut diamond that weighed a whopping 29.4-carats, the ring is perhaps her most well-known item of jewellery next to the Krupp Diamond Ring.

Others include a large ruby ring featuring a halo of diamonds, a large 18.61-carat emerald pendant surrounded by diamonds that would later be set into a brooch, a sapphire engagement ring that rivals even Kate Middleton's and perhaps the most unconventional of all, a 60-carat diamond pendant and a classic diamond bracelet.
Unfortunately, Elizabeth and Mike's union was not very long as the producer would sadly pass away before his time in a car accident one year later.

6. Paris Hilton and Chris Zylka
Paris Hilton is known not only as being the granddaughter of Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Hilton, but also for her opulent taste. This was something Hilton’s long-time boyfriend and actor, Chris Zylka definitely kept in mind when he proposed to Hilton with a massive 20 carat pear engagement ring in January of 2018.
The ring, designed by Beverly Hills jeweller Greene & Co, was said to have cost Zylka $2,500,000. Unfortunately, Zylka and Hilton were not meant to be, and they parted ways eleven months later.
