What was your reaction when you first heard Taylor Swift got engaged?
I was about to board a plane for a girls’ trip when I saw the news on Instagram. I instantly knew it was about to send the jewellery industry into a fizz. Moments like this don’t just make headlines; they shift trends overnight.
Can you tell us about the process of securing The Taylor Collection?
From the start, I knew we needed our own version of her ring, a design that would truly resonate with Shiels customers. My first step was reaching out to key suppliers for sketches and pricing; while also making sure they could produce and ship the pieces as quickly as possible.
It sounds like things moved fast. What was the energy like behind the scenes?
The office was buzzing, from buying to marketing and our web team, everyone was thrilled at the prospect of our Taylor ring. We all got even more excited when we revealed we would be launching a complete range, including an affordable Zirconia ring and a sparkly watch.
Can you see that stunning 2-carat lab-grown diamond ring inspiring a few proposal moments of its own?
Absolutely! It’s the kind of piece that turns heads and sparks excitement the moment it’s seen. I have no doubt it’ll be promised to many lucky ladies – Swifities or not.
Do you have a personal favourite piece in the collection?
It really is hard to pick just one, but I can’t go past the beautiful, elongated cushion cut ring; this truly is my favourite diamond cut. I have my eye on the pendant though, since I already have my engagement ring. It is simply gorgeous, affordable, and so easy to wear. I will be adding it to my collection!
